The hosts were very nice. They took care of us of almost everything. They even offered their home-grown star fruit for us to try. It was delicious and sweetest star fruit we had ever tried. Nice stay and nice time with them.

The room was very clean, the hotel was very easy to find and had everything we needed. Chip was very hospitable and the hotel is a quick walk to restaurants. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. We will definitely be coming back to Vieques and plan on staying here again.

very cute guest house, not a traditional hotel. Our room actually had two seperate bedrooms and a living room with a small kitchen. Very spacious and gave the feeling of a cosy small town vila.

This place is truly awful. From the booking to the actual accommodations. Skip the owner is pretty disorganized and I had to contact him multiple times to reserve for two nights. At check in, I mentioned my wife (I am also female) and he said “oh I don’t even want to stick my nose in that.” Totally homophobic and to do that in front of our kids is truly shameful. Then we get to the rooms. They felt dirty, the bedsheets were non matching and had some dirt in them. The mattresses were from a bygone era…we did not sleep well. The pool smelled like bug spray and urine according to the kids. I didn’t see any sign of a filter system so …. The shower in one room never stopped running and in our other room there was no hot water until we were able to track him down. He fixed it quickly but it was something that seemed like it had happened before. So next time please check on that before the guests arrive. Another note is that there were no smoke detectors or canon monoxide detectors in the rooms…they used to be there …. There were some attempts at “perks” like beach chairs and umbrellas we could take to the beach. But when we got there we discovered that one of the umbrellas was for a table and couldn’t be used for shade. Aaaagh! Skip also dismissed the Spanish name of one of the beaches. And generally acted like a no it all and a man-splainer. In general Skip was unpleasant and the stay was equally bad.

Skip is the property owner and he walked us through check in and the story of House of Tortuga! He was very kind and hospitable! The room was very clean and well taken care of! He also offered beach chairs and towels to use while there! 5/5 stay!

The room was clean and cozy. All the decorative pieces in the room looked really beautiful and thoughtful. The cottage was surrounded by many trees and the owner let us pluck a few mangoes from the ones next to pool. There were also pool towels and chairs available near the office room. A big shout out to the owner, who not only made us feel comfortable during our stay, but built such beautiful place.

Beautiful room and wonderful host! Property is in walking distance of a lot of the main bars and restaurants and food trucks of the Esperanza coats area. The property itself has a picturesque pool area. We can’t wait to come back!

Property owner has alot of amenities that you coupd use such as beach chairs, towels and much more. Pool is clean and has a shower outside for you to rinse off. Great place to stay. Close to restaurants and bars. Highly recommend it.
