It was great to have access to the kitchen where we had the supplies for breakfast to hand. Friendly and helpful people on reception. Cleanliness could be much better eg: the stairwell needed a vacuum; kitchen surfaces, cooker nobs, handles, bathroom tiles seemed sticky and needing a clean. But overall our stay was good, towels, bedding and bedroom clean. Thanks for having us.

Wouldn’t stay at this property again.

I was expecting a better room. The overall condition of the property is terrible. I had a room facing the road. There was no fan in the room and of you left the window open, you could not sleep the entire night. Shred kitchen was very useful and it was well stoked. Receptionist were very helpful.

Dafür das in London die Hotels allgemein sehr teuer sind, kann man das Hotel hier für den Preis und der Leistung akzeptieren. Es gibt Frühstück den man sich selber zubereiten kann (Toast, Eier, Cornflakes, Milch, Butter, Obst und Chips) Zimmer und Badezimmer sind sehr klein.

Somewhere to go after night out.

This Hotel is very basic but great value for money, the staff were friendly and helpful at cheack in. The room was found clean, but housekeeping had forgotten to take bag of soiled nappies from the room, the staff were very apologetic about this. The bed was comfortable and slept well and the room was very quite, despite being on Bow Road. You could make yourself breakfast in the morning, toast, eggs and cereal.

So the owner is very nice can’t do enough for you let me check in early which I was most grateful for. but the cleanliness let it down. the high areas of the room need dusted asap that includes the wardrobe top shelf and floor behind sink also kitchen could be a bit cleaner Although I did enjoy having access to a kitchenette but it’s a converted house so noise travels in that place. You hear the doorbell late at night it startles you I liked the fact that it was close to the UAL and the DLR station and Bow Road station is within walking distance to the lodge. There is also a laundrette and a convenience store next door which is better than the Asdas express. Westfield shopping complex on the DLR and it have late night shopping till 9 not a bad place to be honest

Very basic, but good value for money

Good value, polite check in (including an offer to carry my bag upstairs). Room far too hot and a bedside lamp would have been a welcome addition. Entry stair carpet needs a good clean, but the room itself was clean. However for an overnight stay it was good value and I would book again.

Non mi è piaciuto niente. Struttura pessima,scarsa pulizia,mai cambiato un asciugamano e mai pulito la camera in 5 giorni. Tenda per non fare passare la luce era una tenda della doccia,mobili e cassetti instabili e che si smontavano a toccarli. Finestra che dava su una strada molto rumorosa e non insonorizzata. Mi hanno chiesto 6 euro in più per tenermi una piccola valigia e uno zainetto per 4 ore!!!!lasciati poi su una poltrona del minuscolo ingresso alla portata di chiunque fosse entrato. Lavandino del bagno intasato che non andava via l acqua. Ai limiti di tutto

First of all, we booked at city lodge but was then told we are staying at their sister branch called city stay. Only the bathroom and bed was clean. Everything else was dirty. Stairs to room was very slippery. No access to anything to drink. Staff wasn't helpful at all and didn't even know how long we were staying for. Overall not great and was pleased to get home.

Dissapointing and tired

Whilst it was cheapish for london prices, the reasons were very clear on arrival, the room was like a tiny well used bedsit, very small, and the ensuite bathroom was filthy, the grouting in the bathroom was black wirh heavy use, the toilet area smelled of urine, and the bedroom area was in serious need of decirating the floor boards creaked badly, and overall, the whole building (or what we saw) was in need of serious refurbishment.

La peggiore esperienza avuta con Hotel.com in 20 anni, da Evitare assolutamente. La finestra non chiudeva, c'era 5 gradi a Londra stamattina su una strada trafficata. Impossibile cambiare camera, personale altamente non supportivo e al limite educazione. La colazione "compresa" una truffa non esistente, la risposta è stata hai pane e burro in frigo. Di sicuro non vale il prezzo pagato
