Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Food very good and varied dining options. Super ambience. Only downside is no sunbeds ever available at the pool in spite of notice saying reserving sunbeds not allowed. Many were empty all day with no one using them even after putting towels on them. Policy should be enforced.

A great trip at a great resort!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing with a wide variety for vegetarians. The beach that the hotel is located on is beautiful, the water is so blue and clear. Overall an excellent stay, we would highly recommend Sugar Bay.

God beliggenhed og sød personale

Beliggenheden er helt perfekt. Udsigten er unik. Personalet meget imødekommende og maden er god, også i buffet. Her er smukt og flot design samt gode møbler og komfort. Det eneste jeg kan sætte en finger på, er at du skal stå meget tidlig op for at få en liggestol, da man her gerne bare må smide sine håndklæder om morgenen og så først bruge din liggestol senere på dagen. Der burde være en regel om, at dine håndklæder blev fjernet hvis du lavede dette nummer, for dem som rent faktisk gerne vil ligge der fra morgenen af, har ikke muligheden, da de alle er optaget af ‘håndklæder’.

The food and drinks were incredible. Excellent location and great beach. Not quite an all inclusive as you're limited to one visit to the sushi restaurant and one visit to the steakhouse. The furniture in the rooms could definitely use an upgrade. Most is particle board with water damage. Overall it was a good place and nice stay.

All inclusive resort on the water

This was our second trip to Sugar Bay. We were there 8 years ago and stayed in a suite facing the ocean which was beautiful. This time we chose a smaller room. It was in need of renovations with doors sticking and not closing well and bathroom tile in disrepair. The food was pretty good, though, much of the same buffet for the week. You do have a choice of 2 other restaurants for one night each on a week stay. This gave us a nice variety of meals. The music and show were excellent. Staff were very nice. Everything included made it easy to not carry money.

Liked - the staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful; the beach and ocean area were great, easy access; all common areas were very clean, safe and cheery; enjoyed the burger shack and Sizzle Dislikes - the buffet choices at Tides were limited; the air conditioning in the room was not great; the rooms decor needs to be updated.

It was not too big, food was good, staff was very nice and helpful in all areas. The room was clean and we did not spend much time there we spent the days on the beach which was what we liked, with the barriers of coral it allowed us to have a calm area to stay in the water. My husband was snorkeling out there daily. Shower could have some type of shelf, and doors of rooms slam loudly so if you’re not an early riser you do hear them. Sizzles and the Japanese restaurant were very good and the buffet was also good. Not much in town or we did not find the right area. We did a taxi tour with George and he was very knowledgeable and showed us all the island highlights . The Island buses are quite the ride if you are looking for and island experience. Special thanks to Emerald for keeping us supplied with water and towels!
