Overnight stay.

Stayed for one night. Grest access to lake. Staff very friendly and professional. Most of the resort needs some TLC. Kinda pricey for the room, but understand its the price to pay for access to the lake.

Good enough for a couple dudes.

Good enough to sleep at. Beds were very tired, decor is from 1992...but again, its a decent place to lay your head down for a few hours.

The hotel rooms are shockingly dated, not clean and give the feel of an institution. While we understand it was a holiday, the nightly rate was outlandish for the quality. It’s inexcusable there seemingly haven’t been any updates to the hotel in decades.

This resort needs capital investment and better marketing. I really hope this resort survives because it is one of a very few big resorts left in the area, but it does have the feeling of a business in a spiral. Everywhere I looked, I could see how this place must have been vibrant and full of life with the convention center, gift shop, diner, bar and grill, large number of rooms, multiple pools, etc. Now most of these areas are either closed or in disrepair. Very sad. For the size of the resort, it is much too big for the current number of guests there. I just hope it gets remodeled vs sold to developers.

Okoboji had record rains this spring, and that caused some flooding into the vestibule for our hotel building. The smell was awful, and we had to hold our breath going in and out of the building. Apart from that, the rest of the stay was fine.

The A/C in our room kept shutting off. The pillows on our beds were pretty flat. Indoor pool wasn't too bad. The hot tub had peeling paint. Entire resort is kind of run down.

Pretty gross. No way that there have been any updates to this place since they won an award in 1997. Was staying with the rest of our team and it was probably our last.

Beds were very uncomfortable, carpet had hair pins under the table and crumbs around the bed, never saw any staff after checking in, no cups for coffee. Would have changed location but there was nothing else available!

Our room waa filthy. The bed looked like someone had already slept on it, there was spilled coffee all over the cupboards, dried up moldy apple and muffin wrapper behind dresser, used coffee packet in coffee maker, and bath tub didnt drain properly so you had to stand in 6in of water..
