Comfortable but dated rooms

Hotel rooms are old and we had some water stains on the ceiling from leaks but overall it was comfortable and convenient with bar, entertainment and restaurant downstairs. No noise from the later in room. On a plus side your staying in a slice of history.

The rooms are all on the second floor and there is no lift. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The accommodation is very dated and is above a pub/restaurant so you can hear everything downstairs. You can hear everything in the adjoining rooms, and they can hear you. Fine for a short stop but not a comfortable stay.

Situated right in the heart of amazing Winton. My 5th trip and never tire of this place. The grand old lady is indeed old, however was clean, convenient and friendly. Disappointments were the lift wasn't working meaning we couldn't unpack the car fully, also the ever present sulphur smell seemed to be stronger this visit

This is a lovely old hotel with plenty of character. It has added a small elevator that take you to the upstairs are in the courtyard. There is convenient access to a public laundry. A small pool/large spa is located at the back corner of the courtyard. There is a small stage with live entertainment some evenings. This can be a negative issue as the rooms wrap around the courtyard area and the live performances can be a bit disturbing if you have had a long day of travelling. It is conveniently located in the main street of the town with close access to all business. There is access to the upstairs balcony that looks out over the main street of the town. All in all, this is a lovely place to stay.

This room was small and quite pricey, the bathroom tiny, the floor tacky and sticky. there was no blind so all the light from the main street flooded in all night. No one around next morning to whom I could point out the problems. No response to direct email to hotel sent the next day.

Good dining options, bar is good, the owner is good, have a pool, we watch in the big screen the NRL final on the courtyard, has a lift no worries if you have big bags to carry, we love our 4 days stay while sightseeing around town.

While room very basic and showing age - it was clean and the restaurant had good selection and very tasty. Also excellent having a lift for movement impaired visitors. Only real issue was shower head flying off when I was showering and hitting me in head.
