The river Inn was well maintained, even though it had some age on it. Our room was clean and comfortable.

We were able to stay in the cabin next to the office. It would be an ideal place for a family to stay. It is like a self-contained living space with full kitchen. Located close to the Sequoia National Park Foothills entrance and very convenient.

No staff on site until 3-9pm. No early checkins. Room had a dead roach in it. Towels are damp and smell funny. Good if you’re only staying one night just to rest your head.

Had to pick up keys from a different hotel a 15 min drive away because of checking in after 6pm but was given wrong wifi password and because there is zero network service in the area had to drive back to get correct one. TV was not working. Microwave present but not plugged in or with any socket near it. Coffee machine full of someone else's coffee. Location good.

Bettbezüge voller Flecken. Lauter Insekten im Zimmer. Mitarbeiterin war stets bemüht ein anderes Bettlaken zu organisieren. Vergeblich, auch dieses war schrecklich dreckig befleckt. Das Schlimmste Hotelzimmer unseres gesamten Lebens!

I read the reviews before booking, no surprises found knew what was getting beforehand. Happy with the stay. It was a comfy bed, yes bedding was older. Towels could have been better. If you leave food out you will get the attack of the piss ants. Its definitely a more affordable place vs others in areas. So keeping that in mind its a great place to stay if you are just bedding down for the night. Google reviews are pretty harsh for this place. It was not a disappointment at all. Definitely a pay for what you get. Staff was friendly. Amenities? Well micro and fridge in room. What else are you looking for? Its so close to south entrance of Sequioa NP and that makes it well worth the cost for me.

The hotel was older but the rating was right on. Close to the entrance to the park, and was perfect for a one night stay to get an early start in Sequoia NP. Did have a great meal at the Gateway Lodge just up the road.

The River Inn was exactly what we were looking for! Well situated with a three-minute drive to the Park entrance, It was clean, everything worked, the bed was comfortable, and the check in with Jay was easy and he was lovely and helpful. There is a deli next door called Totem with food and all the amenities you need for the day. No complaints. It was a wonderful overnight trip.

Good thing about this place is the location since it’s close to Sequoia National Park . It was only few minutes away from the entrance and there is a deli next door…the place itself is not so great for the price they are charging. It needs a lot of updating. There were a lot of ants in the room… the bedsheets and towels were stained/old and they barely provided the basics.. bed and pillows were so uncomfortable… the hair drier is so small and old and can barely dry your hair… Staff office is only open between 3 to 9… It says there’s outdoor grill but really there was only one small portable grill outside…. Really not worth the price and would definitely not book here again…

The hotel is small with few amenities, but it is very convenient to Sequoia National Park. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Parking was easy and there was a place to eat next door. The fridge barely kept things cold, but the coffee pot was great! It was reasonably priced so there is that!
