A small but nice hotel
Overall we were happy with the hotel, in terms of meals and the service of staff members. Facilities could be better though. For example, it would be nice to be able to connect to the internet in the rooms instead of having to go out to the lounge area to use the WiFi all the time. The hotel is just about one year old, so the owner and his son are still learning to manage the business. The owner, a retired teacher, is a nice guy. His son was very patient and helpful, and speaks excellent English. However, other staff members could manage only very basic English.
We signed up for a few activities and mostly had a good time. But we found that one thing girls and ladies need to be careful about is when they are learning to scuba dive, something many tourists are keen to do when visiting Maldives. The scuba diving lessons might involve instructors lifting you bodily even when you think it is inappropriate. My girl and wife practically had to run away from an instructor because they felt really uncomfortable with the movement and positioning of the instructor's hands.
