Great location for walking to meals

The room was a great surprise…. Not the least the huge bathtub by the door. The shower was great and being on the first floor by the parking lot our back door led right into the really neat kitchen and it was so easy to get coffee in the morning

No shower or breakfast.

Booked it thinking it was a Bed & Breakfast based on what I read on hotels.com but they no longer offer breakfast. There isn’t a shower here, just a tub with a hand wand. The lack of a served breakfast and a proper shower diminished the value proposition over choosing a hotel.

Underwhelmed

Was excited to stay here.. check in was easy, the girl that helped us was very nice and gave us some fun facts about the mansion. The room was different than what was pictured on the website.. they should update their photos. The jetted tub in our room was surrounded by windows and the largest windows blind adjustor was broken and laying in the window so we couldn’t close the blinds properly. Had to have a fan running all night because it was so warm in the room. Lastly, they shouldn’t advertise as a bed and breakfast if only providing packages convenience items. The location was great for the event we were there to attend but overall I was underwhelmed by the facility for the price.

Lovely mansion, blasts of cold air, remote service

Hotel.com has inaccurate info. In-person check in is only offered 4-5 pm. We only learned by text less than 2 hours before when we were still a 3 hour plus drive away. We stayed in the "Library" -- beautiful, but they didn't leave the "secret pasage" to the toilet and sink open for us; as a result, we thought we had to use a bathroom downstairs. With no person on site, this confusion was not easily resolved. Similarly, I had to go hunting for towels to use the tub (which was not through a secret passage). The staff helpfully informed us that the boiler needed repair and there was no hot water. We accepted a 50% refund as a result. However, the mansion's HVAC blasted us with cold air every hour or so throughout the night. It blew directly to our bed creating drafts of cold air under the covers and it rattled the blinds against the window. Not a very restful night before catching a plane home in the morning. With no person on site, many problems were harder to resolve. They offer answers by text, but that's not so helpful when you need some kind of orientation to the room, like you need someone to tell you about a "secret passage" to your en suite toilet. Seems like they are cutting costs and minimizing any human element to staying here.Also only offer some "continental" breakfast like you'd find at a Econolodge. In other words, they're cutting the exact reasons why people choose to stay in a B&B. Not sure I'd stay here again.
