Cozy guesthouse with friendly service

The guesthouse was very cozy and offered good activities. My niece was really very happy driving the snowmobile and seeing northern light on the lake.

Thank you for a great stay!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Abisko guesthouse. The place has all you need and the staff is very helpful. We wondered a bit why there was no sorting of waste, and its difficult to figure out who is in charge of the different activities. The surroundings are incredible and perfect for chasing northern lights on the nearby frozen lake. During our stay they weren't visible from the window. Thank again for a great experience, we wouldn't hesitate for a second to come back.

The location is great. It's near the train station, supermarket and walkable to the lake. The Aurora sky station is 2 km from the guesthouse. Apartment room is simple, no frill but fully equipped with kitchen, living area and 1 bedroom. There is a common area with kitchen, washing machine as well. There is a lot of activities which arrange by the guesthouse. We chose Aurora BBQ. It's lovely BBQ dinner in Sami's hut behind the guesthouse. Once we finished we chased aurora together and found it. Staffs are lovely, kind and helpful.

Poor value - a basic hostel at 4* hotel prices

The write-up on hotels.com did not make it clear that my double room was in an “apartment” which shared facilities (one toilet and one shower) with 2 other rooms. For the price I paid (£188 for a single night) I had expected significantly more. The bed was not a double bed - it was two singles pushed together with separate mattress pads (which didn’t meet) and single bedspreads. You were also expected to make your own bed. I don’t mind roughing it, but for that kind of price and for it not to have been made clear that the facilities were shared, this is not acceptable.

Praktiskt med liten köksdel - liten ugn, kyl och frys, så att man kan tillaga, värma egen mat. Ingen restaurang i närliggande till själva boendet, men det finns ett ställe lite längre bort där man kan köpa frukost, lunch, middag. Dålig säng/madrass och dåliga kuddar - där behövs det verkligen investeras nytt och med bra konfort. Och personalen bör se över så det finns fräsha handdukar - i vårat rum var två handdukar fläckiga var av en av de kan det kanske vara mögel, det var svart fläck. Städnigen var okej.

Accueillant, établissement avec une superbe cuisine - tous le necessaire pour (four, frigo, mrico-onde,plaque de cuisson, ustensils...). Proche de la gare, avec des panneau indiquant. Possibilité de faire divers activités, si réserve tôt.

Grande parcheggio. ho dato poche stelle alla pulizia solo perché ho trovato dei capelli tra le lenzuola/copripiumino. Ci sono 2 cucine ben attrezzate, puoi farti la spesa e riporre in frigo le tue cose perché ogni camera ha il suo spazio contrassegnato. Come da buona tradizione nordica, Si devono lasciare le scarpe all’ingresso perciò portatevi le Ciabatte.

Okej för några dagar!

Okej ställe att bo på. Köket funkade bra förutom att det var saker kvarlämnat på hyllan som tillhörde rummet när jag kom. Synd att det inte finns någon källsortering alls… Rent och fint på rummet (som är rätt litet om man skulle bo tre i det men två går bra) men inte så särskilt rent på badrum/toalett. Mycket bra läge nära station och affären!

Weekend de rêve sous les aurores

Super expérience ! Si l'arrivée se fait en dehors des ouvertures de l'accueil, il était possible de récupérer les clés dans un boîtier à code. Nos deux nuits se sont bien passées, le logement est propre, les parties communes entretenues (cela dépend évidemment des personnes qui séjournent en même temps que vous). Les activités proposées sont variées (aurora tour, sauna, motor ski...) et permettent de profiter des richesses naturelles d'Abisko et du parc naturel. Le check-out était très bien pensé : même si nous devions avoir quitter la chambre à 11h, il restait possible d'accéder aux parties communes et de stocker nos valises à l'abri. Je recommande !

Die Unterkunft liegt in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und ist gut ausgeschildert. Das Personal ist nett und wir haben für den Abfahrtstag noch eine Küche und Toiletten Karte erhalten, da wir erst abends abgereist sind. Etwas mehr Besteck für die Küche wäre schön.

Peu d’option dans le coin

Peu de chambres avec fenêtre dans cet hébergement donc ces chambres coûtent chères. Chambre 1 avec fenêtre mais située à l’entrée donc on entend toutes les entrées/sorties. Literie convenable. Sanitaires partagés, soit pièce avec toilette et douche, soit uniquement douche ou uniquement toilette. Machine à laver et sèche linge disponible (100 SEK) uniquement entre 10h et 17h. 2 cuisines partagées (une à l’entrée, une vers les dernières chambres) ; équipements pour cuisiner, frigo partagé ; uniquement 3 tables de 4 dans la première partie, plus de tables dans la 2nde partie. Peu de rando/activité à partir d’Abisko Östra, il faut marcher jusqu’à Abisko Touriststation (40 min à pieds) sinon payer une navette. Peu d’autre option dans le coin
