It's an older motel that faces the beach. The sea-wall has been gradually collapsing over the years, and I'm sure the owners know the whole place is on borrowed time. (I believe one structure was already lost.) So there isn't much long-term investment in the structure, but the rooms are clean and well-appointed, with all of them facing the water and the central lawn to some degree. I keep coming back and so long as you come with appropriate expectations, I think you'll do fine. I prefer upstairs rooms, but the downstairs ones do have direct access to the courtyard lawn and stairs to the beach.

Beautiful ocean views

Great place to stay and watch the ocean. When the tide comes in, the waves crash on the stone wall and when the tide is out, the beach is great. We saw a seal, blue herrons, and other sea birds.

Being on the oceanfront was the best but the beach was pretty rocky. Beautiful views and nice lawn to relax on however there weren’t enough lawn chairs. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the rooms have been redone and they were really nice and comfortable and clean. There’s an excellent restaurant a couple blocks away.

Very happy to find this hotel for our stay. Right on the beach (high tide rocky, low tide nice and sandy), have everything you need for your stay and near by many places to go. Little mountain lookout - must visit place to see unbelievable views be very careful, super high not for people with kids too dangerous.
