While on the whole the hotel is clean and functional and staff are friendly, there are a number of factors which I feel justify a lower rating:
- rooms are clean but lacking fundamentals. This is a c€200 per night hotel in Amsterdam's CBD, to not have irons in the room is lacking of the facilities I would expect of this price bracket. While an iron can be requested at reception, the device I was given was basically unusable.
- breakfast is something of a free-for-all with an eating area which is *massively* undersized for the volume of guests in the hotel. This is not 'vibey' or 'buzzy', it's chaotic and the last thing you want at 0730.
- my room was a comfortable temperature but this came at the expense of an extremely loud AC unit.
