Most of the staff were very nice when engaged. Odd policy at the front desk meant that even though I made the reso - my dad arrived a little before me and gave his cc at checkin - when I arrived 5 min later - the front desk was unable to cancel the hold on his card and replace it with mine. I was told that I would have to come back the next morning to pay upon checkout and the hold would remain on my dad's card for 5-7 days. It's not a huge deal but a "policy" that unnecessarily inconveniences the guest. Overall the property was good and very clean. The walls are very thin so we heard 2 alrm clocks go off in other rooms in the morning and it was ages before they were turned off. The quality of food on the breakfast buffet was disappointing. I would rather pay more and get real egg, higher quality bread for toast, well-made porridge rather than a grey, soupy glop, proper juice rather than watered down "juice", etc. It doesn't have to be fresh squeezed, but even oj from concentrate would have been better. We should have ordered from the menu. The room was very clean but had a stale smell so we opened the window and that helped. We couldn't control the a/c but it was somehow regulated and turned off and on throughout the night. The overall temp was comfortable but my parents, who aren't used to a unit like that, noticed the on/off noise a bit through the night. A consistent low setting would have been preferred. $385 for a night at a Best Western is outrageous. "Good"
