We used the hotel as a base camp to go to Detroit Tiger game as well as it being a central point to where friends of ours were. It is a well maintained historic hotel which has more of a bed and breakfast vibe. But, it also has a decent pool too, so best of both worlds while being fairly priced with an excellent breakfast included.

The hotel has some atmosphere and character of an old Florida resort, but has been updated with modern conveniences. Great location only a ten minute drive from St Pete beaches, and also easy to get into the Central arts district and downtown. They also serve a great breakfast. I'd definitely recommend Crystal Bay, and I'd stay here again.
