2/10
I reserved at Hyatt house 5th ave. For Father’s Day, it was meant to be just a quick stay only one night to enjoy the beach and local area. I choose the hotel because of location and most importantly because they allowed service animals and they had a room that fit our family of 5. We arrived to the property at 8:45 pm on Saturday, I confirmed for like the 3rd time that I have a service pet (she’s a small dog, trained and well mannered) the young lady who checked me, advised not a problem proceeded to check me in and even gave the sign to hang on my door so that house keeping would know there’s a service per in the room. We left to go to dinner at 9:30pm. We came back at midnight, when we walking up to our room, we were stopped by a very rude and unprofessional desk clerk named Maria. She advised that I was not allowed to have a pet on the property, that what type of service did my pet provide (a question that can be argued as violating my HIPPA rights) but never the less I did answer honestly, one of the services my dog does is emotional, along with another the problem was she didn’t even let me finish speaking and told me we had to leave the property immediately, we advised that it’s well passed midnight it was around 12:30 am, we went back and fourth she continued to be just down right un empathetic. This was only meant to be an overnight stay meaning we were checking out on Sunday morning. After allot of back and fourth they finally agreed to refund me. I’m still waiting
