My husband and I stayed at River Rapids Inn as our first mini vacation with our seven month old.
While there are some positives with the Inn, such as the location being within short driving distance for many attractions, there were several disappointing factors that outweigh the positive.
We opted for the ‘exterior access only’ room which was very convenient for in/out between the room and our vehicle. The quality of the room was decent, nothing special, but typical for what you would expect with an older hotel.
The beds were quite uncomfortable, very hard, and the pillows very terrible, flat and misshapen. The updated kitchenette with the full size fridge/freezer is a positive to note.
The complimentary breakfast was decent (eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit).

Assuming this was beyond their control, it was interesting that they don’t have a generator for their guests comfort if this were to happen.
The pool was disappointing, it didn’t feel well maintained and certainly was not heated as mentioned in the booking information.
There is no hot tub, this was filled in with dirt/sand with potted plants sitting on top.
The “fitness center” is a couple pieces of gym equipment on the pool deck (not the most safe).
