For the entire 8 night I spent at the hotel, our room was never clean nor even once, no towels changed, no bedsheets change, that wasn’t impressive.

Receptionist during check-in was very friendly, with a professional approach. I had stayed at this place many years. At that time I was totally disgusted with dirty carpet in the main hall (downstairs) and the hallways. But this time, there was a big change. The floors were very clean and the surroundings didn't look as dodgy as before. Even the security guy was friendly. I'm not sure if there's a change of management. Good job! Be aware that there's a 100 euros deposit to be paid at check-in, in case of any incidents. My room was tidy. I had not expected a room that accommodates two persons. This gave more space to myself. The kitchenette also helped to make own meal. The metro station, bus stops and supermarket were just round the corner. There's plenty of dining options. The Parc de la Villette is within a walking distance.

Convenient access to metro and tram. Good proximity to grocery store, restaurants, and the canal with walking and cycling on both sides. The hallways are worn but the rooms have been refurbished. Simple but very functional. Good blackout curtains. Reasonable soundproofing in the windows (with enough of the tram bell getting through to be pleasant. Not upscale but good value.

Our stay was as expected. The price was very reasonable. The location was good in terms of transport to the centre of the city. The local area had good eating places. The corridors and public areas have seen better days. Our room was a good size and was clean. It was functional but no more. A sachet of coffee every day would have been welcome and a tiny carton of milk for those who don’t take it “noir”. The pillows were very small and only one per person. It would have been good to be able to order a second one in advance. Overall good but with a few reservations,

It's a good accommodation for the price! I loved the bath, and the room was pretty big as well. The check in was a bit disappointing, might be because they don't speak English that well so I don't want to assume too much. If I go back to Paris I would probably come back! By the way, you can only pay the city taxes by card!!
