Run down, but very clean room. Awesome shower pressure. Breakfast was only bread and bagels. Only there one night, so met our needs.

Just a place to sleep

We were pretty excited to find a place with 3 beds for our family of 5. We usually stay in or closer to Ocean City, so there was a lot of driving back and forth but we thought it would be worth it for the two older kids to get their own beds. We felt the first night there was good, but the longer we were there, the more we noticed some issues. We stayed for 3 nights and spent some time hanging out in the room. It wasn't cleaned that well. There was little bits of something stuck on the bathroom door and walls. The shower curtain had a big hole right in the middle. My daughter found something left behind from a preciois guest under a bed as we were doing our final check of the room. And nobody ever came to take our trash or makenthe beds during our entire stay. We a few meals innthe room, so the two little trash cans filled up quick. One of the trash cans outside (not in front of our room) had filled up over our stay and then was strewn all over the ground, and stayed like that for at least an entire day, possibly more. As others have said as well, the breakfast was very lacking. We luckily brought some food with us and planned to go out to eat on our last day. We would have liked Garden State Inn to be an option for us again in the future because of the room sizes, but we'll be skipping them in the future. They just don't seem to care about the property or quality for the guests.

Overall, I enjoyed my 2 day stay. However, the front desk employees could have been friendlier to the customers. The continental breakfast was lame. Stale bagels, no hot water for tea or tea bags, yogurt was being served out of a quart container not individual packs. As for the room, the bed was extremely comfortable, clean soft sheets. A/C, tv, refrigerator on point. As for the hot tub, the faucet leaked tremendously and the handle was broken. No problems with the shower. Oh, and they need to tighten the toilet seat

Horrible experience

It was horrible stay. They gave us the room with hinge broken on the bathroom door which made it unable to close. AC was producing horrible annoying sound and room wasnt clean. We ask to change the room and with arrogance and with bad attitude they said you can check out if you have problem. After talking to hotel owner only they changed the room and that room was also very dirty with broken AC cover and what not. No landline available in the room to call room service. Either you have to go to reception or there was a contact number on the reception which should be called from personal cell phone. We requested almost 3 to 4 time for room cleaning and they said they does that alternate days which doesn’t make any sense. On multiple request they send the lady to do the room service. Their owner promised to compensate the visit and when we checked out, he denied that even. Very very bad experience with this hotel, I strongly recommend not to book this particular hotel.
