I booked this stay to get out of the house for the weekend with my two kids and wife.
I picked this hotel in particular because of the amenities (in the picture there is a nice pool, fire pit, patio heaters, etc.)
The night we arrived, the patio was dirty, the fire pit was not operable, and the patio heaters did not work. I tried every single one and none of them lighted due to empty propane tanks. I asked the maintenance person if the tanks could be replaced and I was told they didn’t have any spares to replace the empty ones and that he would have to get some. He told me it wouldn’t take long. My family waited by the pool for an hour if not two hours and no one came back. To make matters worse the pool gate key card reader was not working and I was told by the staff to just reach over the gate and open it manually. This bothered me because this hotel wasn’t exactly on the cheaper side, and since this pool/patio area is right by a lake and a public walking path, that means that anyone can get in. I wouldn’t leave my kids unattended but it still did not feel safe especially if the readers aren’t working for paying customers. Along with that the pool was very cold and had bugs and leaves in it for the two nights we stayed. I ended up cleaning up the pool myself for my family on both nights. Lastly the elevator buttons on the lobby floor were not working properly. When we got to our floor the whole area smelled like Lysol Disinfectant spray. The rooms smelled like pets.
