Basic hotel but just off las ramblas in lovely plaza real. Rooms were clean, tiny lift and basic breakfast, but all you need for a city break. They kept our bags for us too, which was perfect. All staff very helpful.

I was delighted to find the hotel located on our favorite square in Barcelona. A good sized room, comfortable beds. However, I got cold the first night and had to go hunting for additional blankets. The toilet did not shut off after flushing, but was promptly fixed when reported. If I stay again, I will request a room NOT overlooking the square, which was noisy well into wee hours of Sunday night. Walls thin- enough to hear a lively couple in adjacent room (think Sleepless in Seattle restaurant scene). For soap, you must use shower gel packets. Essentially one plug with three outlets that hangs from high on the wall near the (tiny) TV. Sadly, no token English language channel. Continental breakfast, bread and yogurt and cereal- carb heavy. The night clerk friendly and accommodating.
