The staff was amazing! It’s a smaller property with not very many places to lay by the pool. The beach chairs aren’t very comfortable, they sag and you can feel the crossbars. The rooms aren’t soundproof at all, so you hear everything in the hallway. Or was a good value though, and we enjoyed our time!

The bar was stoced every day with 2 large bottles of still water, 2 sodas, and 2 corona beer cans. Room cleaned every day, towels changed every day, the room was spotless. We got a balcony view to the lagoon side, and we enjoyed the best Sunset views! Staff very polite, everyone saying Hello and smiling

Ótimo custo benefício!!! O restaurante japonês é maravilhoso! A vista do meu quarto era lindíssima! pontos fracos: - o hotel tem algumas regras sem necessidade - depósito de segurança de um valor alto na hora do checkin; obrigatoriedade de usar calça e camisa ou camiseta polo no restaurante no jantar. Mulheres tudo bem usar shorts, homens tem que estar praticamente de social. Não é meu estilo de roupa e tive que me virar para poder jantar. Vale lembrar que é um resort pé na areia. Já fui em diversos resorts e nunca vi algo tão sem necessidade. - Não tem nenhuma área de fumantes, não pode fumar em nenhum lugar. Ou fuma na rua ou na praia, ou não fuma. - O jantar do restaurante principal é bem meia boca.

The buffet could have been better. Everything started tasting the same after the second day. The was this weird musty smell in the main building and that might have been due to work being work being done. It was off putting.

The one positive is the staff, restaurant and bar staff are genuinely kind, and that’s clearly why this resort gets better reviews. It’s also convenient and close to La Isla shopping center. Live music plays until midnight in the lobby, and after that guests continue gathering in the lobby and outside. Because the resort is very small and all rooms face the same central path, noise carries everywhere, there’s basically no sound isolation. The resort is much smaller than it appears online. Even new guests we spoke to were surprised by the size. If you don’t mind noise, it may work for you. If you want peace and sleep, look elsewhere.

The standard room was very disappointing — it had no window, and a humidifier ran constantly due to the dampness. Noise from the lobby carried into the room at night, making it hard to sleep. There were no basic amenities like conditioner or any extra toiletries. We asked about upgrading, but the only option offered was a suite, which was quite expensive. For lunch and dinner, you have to order from the menu as there’s no buffet or 24-hour café available. The property also has only one small pool.

Hotel NYX is a deceptive and terrible place to vacation. Their “all-inclusive” is not truly all-inclusive. At check-in, they try to sell you on their “upgraded all-inclusive” for $100 per person per night. When you’re done with the front desk spiel, the info desk conveniently placed next to the elevator won’t let you pass until you agree to attend their 90-minute breakfast presentation, where they try hard to push you to buy into their time-share. My wife and I arrived tired from the early morning flight, hungry, and just wanted to check in, change, and grab a bite to eat. We didn’t want to listen to pushy salespeople trying to sell us something we never wanted in the first place. But the disappointment continued when we walked into our upgraded sunset suite. We thought it would be nice and quiet, but little did we know it faces the very busy street so instead of a good night’s sleep, we both woke up numerous times to the sound of loud car and motorcycle exhaust and horns. The furniture in our room was also very beat up and damaged. A chunk of my nightstand looked like it was literally hammered off. And the rooms had a funky smell, the kind that’s present in an old, rundown motel. The following morning we were hoping to get some rest but were woken up at 8:30am again by the pushy sales people trying to sell us a time-share. Food options at this resort are terrible. The food is gross and the options are minimal. We lasted only one day here and booked a different resort.
