The bungalows are located in a beautiful area with an amazing view. I chose this pension mainly due to its proximity to Marae Taputapuatea and it was a perfect choice. The owners provided us with two one-gear bikes, which were in good condition. It was a 15 minute bike ride to the Marae, great, flat road. There's a small shop on the way where you can buy water.
The owners and their dogs are very nice and friendly. We had breakfast and dinner at the pension. Both delicious.
The bungalow itself was fine for one night stay. There was a fridge and a cooker outside the bungalow. The room was clean and I slept well, but bear in mind that this is a basic accommodation. There was no warm water in our bungalow in the morning, which wasn't much of a problem due to hot weather. Along the day the sun warms up their water reservoir so in the afternoon you can already take a warmer shower. There are mosquito nets in the windows and an electric repellent, but there were still many bugs in the room (which is expected considered the location). The owner, Gui, picked us up at the airport and took us back for our next flight. He stopped on the way to show us some beautiful views and I could take pictures. Overall highly recommended. I would stay again.
