Great End of Summer Vacation

We had a lovely stay! Paula the manager was great. She even took the time out to help us find our boat keys (thanks again Paula). The accommodations are rustic, cozy and clean and the beds were comfy. We stayed in cabin 2 which was right on the water. It had a nice deck to sit out and watch the sunset. Screens on the windows, new deck chairs, maybe some board games or cards, and a couple of fans would be my recommendations for some improvements that could be made. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

The water pressure in the shower wasnt good. There was no spare blanket and we were chilly one night. We did not know we were expected to clean the cabin. We had one towel each for 3 nights, no extra towels. For the price if the cabin we would have expected some complimentary tea and coffee. On the upside the caretaker of the cabins was very helpful

The property was quite run down, dirty. The roof leaked when it rained. There is a cleaning fee added on but there are instructions in the cabin with what has to be cleaned or you will be charged so you pay the fee but clean as well.

Cabin steps away from the beach!

Very relaxing trip away from the city. Rustic cabin right on the water with all the amenities you would expect from a little cabin. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back.

Exceptional staff at this relaxing cabin

The managing staff, a lovely couple and their GREAT Dane were outstanding at providing all that was needed for a comfortable stay, measured with a professional and accommodating attitude. The bedding was freshly pressed and the towels free nothing short of what we have experienced at a 5 star hotel! Cabin was older but very clean and so relaxing as it was set in the coolness of the large trees, making it very comfortable day and night. Beach was rocky so I recomend "water shoes". But we highly recommend this very affordable and relaxing retreat!!!

Rustic cabin

The managers were amazing! Everyone was incredibly friendly and continuously offered anything we needed. The beach is right across the road and it was beautiful. The dock was brand new and was a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The cabin is old, but I stayed there because of the great location and I enjoyed having a kitchen to cook instead of eating out. We were given permission to go ahead and pick the apples onsite and we left with 4 buckets of apple. If you are comfortable with an old but clean cabin, I highly recommend staying here!!!

Great view from deck

The view of the lake from the deck was outstanding. The cabin however was in need of a lot of work. I think 50 or 60 years ago it was in top shape but not much has been done to it since then. The folks that are looking after the cabin are very nice and do what they can with what they have to work with, which isn't much.
