Absolutely gorgeous beachfront property!

Cant say enough about how clean our room was and comfortable! Beachfront property walk right out to the ocean from the bottom floor. The onsite amenities made enjoying the stay even better

Condo is beautiful but

As most places that is rented there were a few repairs needed. We had the absolute best view of the ocean. The condo was decorated beautifully and was a great getaway!

We left a day early due to the slow elevators.

Elevators take forever! Our condo was not clean. We found items left by previous guests . The only pluses I can give are friendly staff and the movie theater. Both pools had multiple huge wads of hair floating in them. First and last time to stay at this condo.

Elevators were a nightmare

The condo was amazing. However we were there for Memorial Day weekend and we spent over 5 hours just waiting on the elevators. The elevator issues made for a very stressful weekend and the staff acted like it wasn’t a big deal and it was completely normal to spend an hour minimum waiting on a elevator. We were on the 24th floor so stairs were not an option for going up to our room. Going down we took the stairs just to avoid the tensions of most guests due to the wait. Not sure I will stay at this resort again.

The elevator system in this condo is a joke. People waiting 30 minutes to get on an elevator. If there was a legitimate emergency people would be in trouble.

The condo was very nice and we thank you for the opportunity to stay here. The elevators are a little slow especially when traveling with the elderly who can’t stand very long and can’t take the stairs. Our only complaint is when we went to the welcome center to sign the rental agreement we didn’t feel welcome. The young man who help us was rude and acted as if we were bothering him. He was agitated by the fact we could have done it online. I reserved the condo for my father and he didn’t feel comfortable uploading his id on the internet as he wanted to do it in person. I called before we came and they said it wouldn’t be a problem also we didn’t know the welcome center was 6 miles away from Tidewater.

Would never stay at this property again

Room very out dated and dirty. If u walk on carpeting with white socks they were black. Sat on chair on balcony and it was busted.. I fell to ground with my drink spelled over me. Called the number to report and no one ever followed up. King bed not comfortable, blankets very old. Elevators could take 30 minutes or more. Appliances very old, refrigerator smelled. The only thing nice about property was the view.

Condo Panama City Beach

The condo was great as well as the location, and had everything we needed except beach chairs; however the overhead light in the living and the bedroom were blown, the master bathroom sink was clogged and the toilet was very loose so it rocked every time you sat down. Everything was clean except the floors. Our socks were very dirty after walking on the floors. I did not call maintenance when we arrived as I should have. I did however let them know when we check out so hopefully all issues will be resolved when the next person arrives.

Very nice condo, the tidewater is walking distance to pier park, on the quieter side of the strip. Close to Winn Dixie for grocery runs and pier park less than 2 miles away has Target and Walmart for anything else needed. Small on site store by one of the pools has Starbucks for coffee fanatics.

Consider other condos first

I wouldn’t consider Tidewater again for a stay. Expect extended wait times for elevators. Elevator in parking deck and main building were down 2 days we were there. For the amount of people that stay there, the elevators aren’t adequate. Our resort bands didn’t work. I’d rate it maybe a 4 out of 10

Average Family Stay

The place was pretty decent. The only problem is the elevators. There were always long lines. Thankfully we were only on the fourth floor so we took the stairs almost every time. That’s not possible when you have a luggage cart and beach wagons so for that reason I do not recommend this property if you are traveling with children or a lot of luggage. It’s just too inconvenient to have to wait that long to get anywhere in the property. On the upside, if the elevators don’t bother you, this place has great pools, a coffee shop downstairs, and great poolside bar. The beach service for cabanas I would rate a 4. They were not friendly and every time we approached with a question or something they were short and didn’t act like they knew anything. It was very frustrating. The indoor pool was nice but we never used it. That bottom floor always smelled terrible like dirty laundry, trash and a lot of chlorine. Our unit was outdated, especially decor and linens. The TVs didn’t have DVD players except one in the kids room. It did have cable though so we made that work.

Violated ADA law

I was given a different room than I paid for and when I contacted Home Away, they put me off on Royal American and then put me off on Tidewater. I have a medical condition and need a lower floor but was not accommodated. Even though my reservation was non-refundable, the company should’ve offered one of my needs could not be accommodated. I was put on the 27th floor and had to walk the stairs due to my severe Claustrophobia (elevators). I have asthma that was exasperated by walking the stairs and I had multiple asthma attacks.

I liked the view and the location.The apartment was not clean there was sand everywhere the sheets were stained the blankets ripped ,kitchen was poor equipped the door didn’t close right and when we arrived the code didn’t work and we need it to make a lot a phone calls in order for us to receive another code. The ac did not work for the first two days and it was all steamy in the apparent.My opinion is that apartment 2918 should not be rented until renovated

Some positives, some negatives

There was some good and some not so good. Pools were nice, parking was across the street but a lot of it, room was comfortable, the view was nice. The negatives were the elevator situation, there are 3 main elevators and then one on each wing, the one on our wing only worked twice. They didn’t work 2 days, the literally only worked twice. The stairs were not accessible from the outside ground level. So you would have to walk up to the first floor to walk down to open the door from the inside. There was a daylight light right outside our room. The window had blinds but no curtain so the light shined in our room all night. One pool was suppose to be closed due to a fight earlier and someone had been spitting blood into pool, but it didn’t get closed right away due to another fight that security was called too. So you had families and kids swimming in the pool that was suppose to be closed for who knows how long. There was a lot of frustration with this stay. I would stay again if it was seriously discounted, but for the $$ I paid, I would try somewhere else.

It was an experience

Furniture was a little dated and needs replacing. But the views and amenities were well worth the stay. Lots of rules though. I had a bottle water sitting next to me near the hot tub and was told that I couldn’t have anything to drink near it. Outdoor pools aren’t heated. Only half the elevators were working which became time consuming being on the 29th floor. Overall it was a nice stay and I would do it again for the price I paid in off season. Not sure I would pay anything higher.

Elevators didn't always work. They shut off the water for a few hours. There is an intercom speaker that began buzzing in the bedroom. It could have been nice but clearly needed some maintenance
