Anniversary weekend

Excellent room with view of the gulf. The shower was nice although more towels would have been better, but not a huge issue. Breakfast was pastries, fruit, cereal, etc. We were offered 10% discount on breakfast next door at Jimmy's, which was very good. We had easy access from the parking garage to our room and the staff was friendly. They let us use the pool and gave us towels while we waited for our room. We would definitely stay here again.

6th floor or higher

First room we were placed in was terrible. 505. It felt like a basement and that someone partied really hard there... Stains, cigarette burns, locks that don't work and overall really banged up. They moved us to the 7th floor. MUCH BETTER! With that being said 6th floor or higher at this place. Clean, good views, accommodating. Pools were good and location was great. Lots of restaurants and beaches walkable. Bars and rooftop restaurant were also very good.

Not coming back

They didn't have available the room we booked thru Hotels.com but they gave us another room. We could hear the people in room next to ours talking, the beds were squeaking and in the morning someone working out the gym was letting the dumbbells freefall after each set and we could hear it like it was right on top of us. The elevators are very slow, only 2 were working and sometimes they wereboth going up or down at the same time, we always had to wait at least 4 mintes to get on the elevator, sometimes more. The toilet paper was cheap and felt like sand paper almost.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I had an amazing stay at The Edge in Clearwater. Our room was on the 8th floor with a balcony facing the gulf. We saw beautiful sunsets every night, dolphins, birds, boats coming by, etc. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, although free trolleys are available too. Beautiful pool and a unique infinity pool that was a great place to gather and meet others. Rooftop bar is nice too. We had the hotel breakfast once but also used the coupon to get a hot breakfast at Jimmie's next door some days. Staff were friendly and helpful from front desk to bar staff and maids. We asked a staff member to help us with the tv too. We walked the beach everyday! We definately will be back!

Good overall

Good overall. Our room was a gulf and pool view room, emphasis on the pool. (You had to go on one side of the calcony to see the gulf.) One of the elevator banks was down from the hurricane, and the others were moving pretty slowly given the amount of people staying there (spring break / spring training mid week). Good standard continental breakfast included in the resort fee. Nice location, 5 minute walk to the beginning of the beach.

Received a room with a side room with bunk beds. Not sure that is what I booked but we enjoyed it anyway. The cleaning staff was courteous and helpful with bring more towels. The buzzing noise outside from some sort of hvac or fan unit definitely impacting the zen vibe of sitting on the balcony. The continental breakfast was suboptimal. No matter what time we went down. There were items that were out. No milk no eggs, on the last day resulted us in having to go out for breakfast somewhere else.

Great relaxing hotel. Awesome views.

This place is amazing. The vibe is relaxing and carefree. Amazing views The beds are comfyand spacious. Jimmy's has great food and views. The pools are awesome. The walk to the beach is so easy. The breakfast bar had a lot of choices but only machine made pancakes muffins etc. Cereal yogurt etc. When supplies depleted they did not refill anything. Just get there early.They were supposed to be open till 10 but they closed the area 5-10 minutes early. The guests and staff are very friendly. We will probably stay her again.

Run down, no number on our door. Gross carpets. Birds taking a bath in the pool, like it was a bird bath. Elevators take about 5-7 minutes. Do not recommend.

Not Great but not the worst.

The staff here was great. No complaints about the room. But we stayed on the 2nd floor and could only access our room By going through the parking garage. Having to go back and forth to the lobby through the garage lessened our experience and even then only 2 of 3 elevators worked and we were constantly having to wait one. Also we needed to do laundry and the machines are coin operated, the little store only had enough change for the washing machine.
