The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. However, the place stunk the rear door had. The lock broke off to get inside the motel. There was no deadbolt on the door half the lights inside the room were missing light bulbs. The ones that did have light bulbs you had to get the rotating switch just right in order for the light to stay on the room stunk The TV was a mess and didn't work correctly. There were no USB or charging ports anywhere just wall plugs The towels for the shower looked like they were ten years old. Outside of the rear entrance door was a car that had the wheels off and lying next to it. Part of the doors and sunroof were open with plastic. On those like the car had been stripped and abandoned I'd rather stay in a tent on a piece of land than go to this place again

*Waited at the front counter for more than 10 minutes before someone showed up. *Though I had made my reservation more than 2 months prior, I was told they didn't have a room available. They were "booked up". If I wanted to pay for a suite, they had one available. *There was another man at the counter when I walked in, he was also told no vacancy. His reservation was for 3 nights. They had a room reserved for him nights 2 & 3, but no longer had a room available for night 1. He left to go find other accommodations. *I asked the desk clerk, as she wrestle with the leash attached to a large dog behind the counter, what she suggested I do. She calmly said, without looking away from the computer screen, " I'm giving you a room". *The room carpet was stained and had wet spots, especially in front of the air conditioning unit under the window. *The curtains were unattached in several places and nearly falling off the rod. I had to reattach what I could just to close them, but many hooks and clips were broken and/or missing. *There were no cups, ice bucket, or coffee maker in the room or bathroom. *The top security lock (chain or flip lock) had been removed, so the only door lock available was the deadbolt that opens with a card key. *The comforters on the beds were stained. * The sheets appeared clean, but when I pulled the top sheet to untuck it, the bottom mattress lining also pulled out. It was torn and very tattered. *Unbelievable! Total sleep time: 1hr 37mn

We really wanted to like this hotel. Unfortunately, if smoking is allowed, it seems like the smoke smell carries throughout the entire property. Our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and we had to sleep with the window open. We also wondered if someone had smoked in the room recently since the window was already open when we arrived. That said, the room itself was clean, the lady at the front desk was wonderful, and the location was perfect for a stop on our trip. Sadly, the smoke smell was too much for us. We didn’t even open our suitcase because we didn’t want our clothes smelling like smoke. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
