Served its purpose as a basic hotel with great location in the middle of Ueno with lots of access to shops, food, transport. On the cheaper side of accommodation in the area, but was not particularly clean in the room or in the common areas, and the phone in our room was broken. Public bath was a nice touch with reasonable amount of space, but facilities could be cleaner.
