We had a wonderful stay at The Peacock . It exceeded all our expectations and would definately choose to stay there again if we were in the area . The room we had was very clean & stylish , and so much better than staying in a chain hotel . Would highly recommend staying there .

The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean with lovely clean fresh linen. The beds were very comfortable and it’s ideally located right across the road from The Peacock pub! Delicious breakfast included at the pub in the morning. As it’s an old cottage the staircase is very steep (just something to be aware of if you have elderly or very young staying). Would definitely recommend.

Warm friendly staff, superb room with great amenities. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. My only slight reservation is that the hotel isn’t manned during the night between midnight and 8am which was a little unnerving. However, everything else was really perfect and I would definitely recommend the Peacock to anyone.

We have not had the pleasure of visiting the Peacock at Barlow for some time, so it was indeed a treat when we returned for a short getaway and an afternoon tea! The latter was a delight - a really lovely selection of sandwiches as well as some absolutely delicious chorizo sausage rolls. The highlight was however the desert in the form of an absolutely incredible cream tea. The scone was still slightly warm and beautifully cooked and the cream was some of the finest I have tasted. It was very apparent there was no skimping here! We also managed some lovely cake from the selection on offer (although by the time we got to it, we were both too full). The cottage was a delight with some really lovely, carefully thought out features and little touches which made it even more special. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable and we both slept very well. Both bathrooms were clean and really well furnished. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back. Thank you.

I'm not usually one to leave a review, but this place was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely room with with no expense spared, the food menu had great options was well priced and very tasty. I would highly recommend this place.
