Like living in the Cotswolds

One of only two places to stay in a really charming old England town. The room was spacious and had everything you needed. It is an old building, so no elevator and tight hallways. Mostly great service although a couple of the male workers seemed a bit snobish when we had not made reservations for dinner. There are only a couple of places to eat so if that is a big concern, make sure you have a reservation. We still managed to eat at a pub across the street and at the sister location, the Manor. If you’re visiting the Cotswolds, don’t miss Castlecombe.

Large clean room looking at the church. Once the day visitors leave the town is quiet and peaceful. Plenty to see and do with some amazing local hikes.

Extremely comfortable bedroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Powerful shower and very hot water but shower screen was not very clean. Dinner was rather disappointing and quite expensive. A lovely location.

The Castle Inn was absolutely lovely. Lots of original and characterful features, with an enormous four poster bed in our room. The spa tub was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast was delicious and included in the room price. Highly recommended.

Race track stay.

Another stay in this lovely small hotel. Ashley and Lilly made us feel very comfortable with the Covid restrictions, and gave us their time to chat and answer any questions. Had dinner twice both of which were scrummy. We will be back.

Perfect Cotswald Getaway

Super perfect little spot. Checked in with the pub late in the evening, room was spotless, large, historic. Great breakfast and walk the next morning. Perfect!

Really excellent stay

We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was really well designed, and cosy (especially with storm Dennis raging outside). The restaurant was also excellent. I would recommend to anyone, especially couples.

A good stay

A good stay overall with staff very helpful but a few things lost in communication between the Castle Inn hotel and the Manor which handles a lot of the booking arrangements.Main pub nice and cosy with log fire. Food generally good though could do with restocking the continental selection a bit more and bringing toast out with the cooked breakfast instead of you having to make your own once it has arrived.
