Staff were all friendly and helpful. There was a bit of bar noise through to the room but it is an old building so not unexpected. Breakfast on weekdays is continental in a small lounge area on the same level as the rooms, I quite liked this as it was self service, cereal, milk, tea, coffee, bread for toasting and butter/jam all readily available. We didn’t have breakfast on the Saturday morning so can’t comment on cooked breakfast. We ate in one night and the food was good with plenty of choice.
The staff logged the car registration number for their parking system.

Really nice well run pub with rooms. Eccleshall is a lovely little town in beautiful countryside.
The buiding is very traditional so rooms are on the smaller side and our room got a bit stuffy. Everywhere is super clean snd the communal space for tea and coffee is really nice.

The staff were brilliant and the atmosphere was amazing. Food was fantastic, bed comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The area has some nice shopping shops for browsing and a great choice of eateries.
