Friendly staff. Clean and new pool area with umbrellas and loungers. Room was clean and they upgraded us. Cold AC. Yummy breakfast. Shower was a bit wonky but thats all. For those who are noise sensitive, this is a busy area on most sides of hotel so bring a sound machine ;)

The hotel is clean and easy to find. There is an elevator if you can’t walk the one flight up. There is parking under the hotel. A small but comfortable pool. The staff are very friendly. The room was large but easily cooled with a quiet air conditioner.

The Hotel is in a great location and the staff are wonderful. I'm sure most all of the rooms are great, except room # 128. If you stay there choose a room other than # 128. It is next to a place where people gather. The only bottled water dispenser and two comfortable sofas and chairs. Whether it's 2:00 in the morning or 6:00 AM, there always people right outside your door talking and laughing and it sounds just like they are in your room !

When the cleaning staff did come to do our room they didn’t change our sheets or clean the bathroom. They didn’t wash the balcony floor once during our 2-1/2 week stay. Also, the cleaning staff never washed the washroom floors in the pool area or the sink area. The pool man gave our towel cards to someone else so when we returned our towels he couldn’t give us our cards back. This was a problem because when we checked out we were supposed to return the cards so we didn’t get charged for the towels.

We stayed twice at Loft Malecon within one week, in different rooms. The location of the hotel is fantastic (despite sewer work going on in the street in front of the hotel during our stay), but you have to be very careful about where your room is within the hotel. On the plus side, the rooms were reasonably clean and the beds were comfortable. On the downside, several rooms overlook the inner patio/restaurant/pool area and can be very noisy especially in the morning when the restaurant starts up. Also, our 2nd room had a large toilet paper hold in front of the sink which made it really hard to use the sink since there was only a narrow area between the wall and the huge, locked (why?) toilet paper dispenser. Also the 2nd room didn't have an in-room phone to reach the front desk and the towels didn't include a mat for the bathroom. When I asked at the front desk, they looked at me like I was asking about very unusual things. But these things were in our first room earlier that week! Unusually for Mexico and Puerto Vallarta in our experience, staff were not very helpful. In addition to the above example, they didn't provide basic information at check-in about the breakfast that came with the reservation. We weren't told that coupons are needed which are only obtained from the front desk and that only a few items on the menu are included. The restaurant staff spoke almost no English so this information is only available from the front desk.

Fuimos de vacaciones a Puerto Vallarta la última semana de 2025. Nos quedamos mi esposa y yo en el "Loft Hotel Malecón". En general, el hotel es adecuado, limpio, céntrico y tiene precios justos. Sin embargo, tuvimos un incidente: Desde el día en que hicimos check-in, empezamos a recibir llamadas que supuestamente eran de la recepción del hotel pero el número era de la Ciudad de México y no de Vallarta. La primer llamada fue de noche y decían que un huésped había tirado bebidas en los pasillos y que estaban limpiando, que si estábamos en la habitación nos ofrecían una disculpa por el ruido. Al día siguiente después de muchas llamadas perdidas dijeron que habían tenido algún tipo de malentendido con nuestra reservación y el pago y querían confirmar las fechas de salida lo cuál nos pareció muy extraño. Parecía que querían confirmar que efectivamente estábamos hospedados ahí. Trataron de comunicarse directo a la habitación a través de la recepción del hotel, pidiendo por mi, sabían el número de habitación y la gente de recepción me comentó de la llamada que recibieron ya que sabían el número de habitación, la chica del hotel no les dio información pero me alertó sobre el incidente. La segunda noche, volvieron a llamar diciendo que iban a revisar las habitaciones, al decirles que íbamos a verificar esta información directo en la recepción del hotel comenzaron a amenazar y a decir que pertenecían a un cártel y que nos harían daño si no cooperábamos. There was a room error, it was very quickly resolved. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend and will certainly stay again next time we stay in the area. Perfect location too... ...even with heavy road & sidewalk construction, rooms were very quiet and we had great sleep!
