"景色は抜群に良いところです。ただ、施設の中の掃除が行き届いていなく、オーブンやホットプレートが置いてある棚は埃だらけでした。 施設の解説がネット上であまりなかったので、よく分からず、2人で利用しましたが、どうやら大人数で利用する施設だったようです。スリッパや外履きサンダルが10人分くらい玄関口に置いてあるのを見て気づきました。 もう少しサイトに詳しい情報（冷蔵庫に食材を入れてくれるとか、調味料は何がある、サランラップやホイルはない、菜箸はないので持参を！等）が予約前に分かると良かったと思います。 この宿泊施設は電話で直接オーナーと話せるわけではないので、よく分からないまま行くといった感じで、不安を感じる部分があります。エアビーのようにオーナーと話せると良いと思いました。"

"Beautiful ryokan style rooms with lovely warm duvets on comfy futons. Within walking distance of the ferries. Our hosts were very gracious, with lots of suggestions for dining. Next trip I will definitely stay a couple of days at Surakaya."

"Amazing hotel. Categorized as 3-star but lives up to 5-star reputation. Brand new. Elegant Japanese design. Big rooms. Comfortable beds. Excellent service. Just across from the ferry port that takes you to Miyajima island. Might be a bit far from central Hiroshima, but its advantages outweigh this single disadvantage. Very much recommend!"

"I’ve stayed here multiple times when it was called the Sunshine Resort. Recently, they renovated this property and it is back to its original splendor. Definitely book an executive level room with the beach view and outdoor tub if you can. There is a free drink and appetizer lounge for executive level room customers and other perks. Ride the bikes around the island. Beautiful property and surroundings. "

"The hotel is so close to the ferry terminal, so that is super convenient. As well as easy walking to the shrines & temples, shopping street and many cafes and shops. The onsen set up is fabulous!! You cannot see the floating Torii from the hotel, but it has views of the water, ferry terminal, and the mainland beyond. Laundry facility was always available when we needed it."

The Japanese style keiseki breakfast and dinner were outstanding both in taste and general experience. Thoroughly recommend for those who want a true Ryokan experience. "We loved the Hotel Granvia. The bed was probably the most comfortable one of our entire 30-day stay in Japan. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. There were Japanese/Chinese and Western options. I often had a combination of both. Located behind Hiroshima Station, the station has a variety of eating options, making staying there a breeze. "

"Brand new property as it opened on the day we arrived. Beautifully designed and very modern. The staff tried their best however there were some teething issues. We pre-paid via Hotels.com but the staff at check-in said they could find our booking but could not see whether we had paid. Ended up supplying proof of payment by showing them our bank records and for supplying our card number again. This was not ideal and check-in for the 4 rooms our party booked took almost an hour.
