From the time we arrived and were greeted by Katy to the time we left three days later we were treated royally. The B&B is so charming and the grounds are park-like. We stayed in the Sun Room and although small inside, the private deck is amazing! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfasts served on our deck were delicious and served graciously. The location is so convenient for walking around downtown but we enjoyed the atmosphere at the Simpson House so much that we hung out...

Close to the beach and very clean and updated property.

Fantastic complimentary happy hour. Bed was super comfortable. Fireplace was romantic. Rain head shower was refreshing. We will be back soon.

Very happy with the room, the house very cozy. Staff friendly. Clean. The breakfast was delicious! I would stay there anytime, I just wouldn’t stay on the second floor. I recommend the host tells the guest staying on the third floor to be more considerate when is bed time with the people in the rooms on the second floor. You can hear everything! Guests staying above were very loud, moving around till late into the night. Other than like I said, loved the place!

Although, I am more of a dog lover than a cat fan. The Cheshire Cat Inn left me purring. We were looking for a quiet romantic lodging near the Santa Barbara Bowl and we found just that. Suzanne was welcoming and accommodated our late arrival by extending the wine & hors d'oeurves hour. Thank you Suzanne, the gesture was greatly appreciated since we had just driven in from Los Angeles. The special touches of homemade brownies before bed made me feel at home. This was our second stay at the Secret Garden Inn. The first time we stayed here, I felt like we stumbled on to Santa Barbara's secret garden. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are adorable and comfortable. I think the most important thing is it feels just like home. Dominique goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. My fiance and I stayed overnight because we were attending a wedding at San Ysidro Rancho and for those of you attending a wedding there- this only 7 mins away from the ranch, has ocean views, its clean, charming, rooms come fully equipped with your own patio, fireplace, 4-post bed, complimentary breakfast that can be delivered to your room and so on. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and did I mention that the staff was incredible....

Excellent service good price and location

Although the lobby was under construction, the hotel room was nicely renovated and quiet during the weekend. Thank you for a nice stay!

Somehow, they make this motel a 5 star experience. Accommodations are excellent. And staff is helpful. There are so many touches that take this hotel to the next level. I couldn’t recommend it more!!

Beautiful hotel, walkable to everything. Pretty low key while we stayed there, so it was quiet. Free wine and snacks for happy hour and a good selection for the free breakfast. Organic eggs, egg bites, fruits, pastries etc! Super friendly and knowledgeable Front Desk person when we checked in. Have us a list of places to eat which included what’s vegan/ gluten free

Great place to stay the view of the ocean and mountains is breathtaking! Close to plenty of places to eat definitely a must stay if you’re in Santa Barbara.
