Like so many hotels, walking to your room from the elevator gives you an immediate impression of a somber, dark, ugly place with brown walls, bad lighting and dark carpet. Overall, the hotel was worth the money spent"

"Dark but functional "apartment" style hotel room. Full kitchen, fridge, and utensils. The strange thing is that the room reminded me exactly of the old folks home where my mother lived before she died. So yes, it was kinda depressing. The one Saving Grace is that the hotel is a block away from the American River, which is a nice hiking trail if you don't mind bumping into homeless people."
