"The property is so tranquil and relaxing with beautiful views of the valley & river. The hosts Paul & Valeria made us feel so welcome. Very friendly and helpful with all our needs. With only 4 rooms currently, the place is intimate and at times all to yourself. Beautiful infinity pool, wood burning hot tub & sauna all with outstanding views. I would love to return when everything is in bloom. Highly recommend Quinta de Raj!! "

"Beautiful modern hotel in a very unspoilt area. All rooms beautifully designed to make the most of the river views. The reception staff were superb and recommended a lovely local hike along the river/through villages. They also recommended a great gorge walk along passageways a bit further away which was beautiful. The food at Raiva was excellent and it was a beautiful room. A Terra food was more basic/standard. Breakfast buffet was great. We especially enjoyed the heated outdoor infinity...

"We stayed in a 2nd Floor modern, spacious room with view of Santuario de Nossa Senhora. Hotel has Elevator. Includes nice, hearty breakfast. Large, comfortable bed. Quiet room, not hear neighbors. Swimming pool with bar. Close street parking, inexpensive and easy to find a spot. 3 minute walk to town rectangle. Short car drive to Regua and Pinhao."

Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. It should be noted that there is an opportunity to taste very good local wine on site."

"The views are unbelievably beautiful! I traveled with a friend and we had two units w/ balcony next to each other - perfect for us. Be prepared for driving on windy roads with tight turns, but definitely worth the drive. Katia was a wonderful hostess for breakfast, always with a kind word and a smile. "

"Amazing stay. Stayed four nights and eat at the restaurant twice for supper. First supper, cheek pork with varieties of veggies. Incredible. 2nd supper veal steak. Very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent wine made on property. Breakfast was all you needed and excellent. What you see on the photos is what you get. If I return to the Douro region, I would not hesitate to go back. Cheers"
