"This isn't a hotel, it's an apartment as stated. That means more room, more (r)homey vibe and a more private stay. We absolutely loved it. Granted, the information was sparse but communication thru the Hotels.com app worked and (ones we figured it out fully) the door opening-site online worked a charm! The room was well above standard and very well kept. The surrounding area is less touristy and more local vibe. Good food, nice atmosphere and way less crowded than more central locations. All...

"Overall all Relais Garbatella was clean and convenient in terms of transportation with easy access to popular areas in Rome via bus or sub way. There are plenty of tasty food options near this apartment. The interior of the rooms and common areas are modern and well maintained. I would highly recommend accomodation if you plan on visiting Rome."

The “guest house” is in fact a bedroom in a small condo apt shared with 3 other bedrooms, a common sofa, and small kitchen— even if you did cook, nowhere to eat. Tiny balcony with a mop and ladder on it and ashtray loaded with butts. 15 min walk to subway then 20 minute ride to most attractions in Rome. Noisy upstairs neighbours and barking dog next door. "Place is good with proximity to tourist sites, and central location for restaurants options. Host is wonderful and helpful. Just didn’t realise the kitchen was self service. But in all a good place and I wouldn’t mind returning if I’m in Rome again."

"Really impressed with the hotel. 30 minute walk to the centre and close to a station to the airport. Also has restaurants nearby. Balconies are huge, and the bathroom was modern and clean. The only possible downside I could think of is that the bottom sheet was kinda grubby. And that's me really trying to find any fault! Overall, I'd highly recommend "

"It is a great location if you’re flying out in the morning or just arriving. Modern and has many amenities but our room was missing a sheet and the pillows smelled lightly of cigarettes. "The front desk staff was very friendly and helped to arrange a free shuttle from Fumicino airport. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the tiramisu west the standard against which all other tiramisu shall be judged on this trip! The staff in the morning sold us regional train tickets, helped us to get to the Muratella train station and gave us directions to Roma Termini station. Breakfast lived up to its excellent reputation and was well worth €20. Grazie Mille!"
