"Superb stay. Great location just a short walk to the main centre of the old town and round the corner from Charles de Gaulle birthplace. George was very friendly and hospitable. Check in was on a Sunday afternoon so no staff were around but it was very easy. The room was spotless, clean, fresh & cosy after putting on the heating. Not good if you are tall! Parking was possible on the street. Free on Sunday or after 7 pm until 9am then 3€/hr using the Easypark app. Breakfast was simple, fresh...

The hotel was undergoing some renovations but we were only there one night. The location is in the center of the town, near restaurants and shops. "

"Breakfast: I missed plain fruits like oranges and apples, there only processed fruit salad. I missed yogourt. There was only cottage cheese. Plain milk was very good. Seeded bread was very good. Staff was excellent, very helpful, understanding and friendly. Hôtel was very convenient, nearby train stations. Hôtel was very clean, peaceful and quiet. I warmly recommend Ibis Budget Vieux Lille."

"Spacious bunk bed, personal storage for a backpack (not for suitcases). Didn't try bar but it was very busy. Ideally situated in the heart of Lille old town and paid parking until 7pm on the doorstep of hostel."

"Four chaps on a motorcycle holiday, we stayed two nights and it was perfect for us. Rooms were clean with good bathrooms, breakfast was great, the bar was open and if you didn’t fancy a 30 minute walk into the centre of Ypres, a taxi ride was €15. So much to see in the area. Staff were great and really helpful. Not fancy but a perfect base."
