"The room, including the bathroom, was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The food was excellent. All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly, helpful and polite. For a short 2 night stay this hotel was ideal for exploring the area. The hotel could do with a makeover but as a listed building that might not be possible or would be too expensive. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay."

"Hadn't stayed her for years but room was lovely with great view. Staff very efficient, helpful and friendly. The place could do with some tlc but on the whole a very enjoyable experience."

"Pros - Can’t fault the cleanliness of the hotel, our room was spotless and finished to good spec. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cocktail upon arrival is a great touch and we enjoyed the fun vibe of the hotel. Cons - The breakfast area downstairs was far too small to cope with number of guests on Sunday morning we were there, so lots of people were pushing through to get food and having to stand up against bar or use the bar stool seats. We also had people outside until early hours having lengthy loud conversations and smoking outside the front entrance underneath our room, which forced us to close window which made it incredibly stuffy."
