Loved staying at Matuka - breakfast was wonderful, the ground were beautiful, location was convenient, and the room was so clean and comfortable. The weather was quite rainy while we stayed there and it was so nice to have a comfortable place to relax and still enjoy a nice view. Would absolutely come back and recommend to anyone staying in Twizel!!

A truly magical setting with service to match. We’ve stayed in many New Zealand hotels, and this was the first where the staff seemed truly focused on exceeding guests’ expectations. And boy, did they! We had room service dinner, and each—absolutely delicious—course was delivered exactly when we were ready for it, and at the perfect temperature. Great base to explore Aoraki Mt Cook, Mary, the owner was friendly and gave good information about the area: Twizel, Mt Cook, she has a good taste of decor. Spacious room, mini fridge, guest lounge, self service complimentary breakfast, wide open space (located on the airfield, but no noise at night). this lodge has great view of mountains. I loved everything. I would stay again if I come back to this area.

Parking was super easy and view was beautiful. Staff was very nice, hotel clean. It was quite pricy, but the rooms were very nice! Best pillows!!!

Loved the bathroom heated floor and sky window to watch the night sky. Beautiful location and easy to get to the downtown area with dining options and activities

Lovely home witg outstanding view of mountain range. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen well appointed with service ware and glassware. Easy directions to get in and out of house. Looks just like the pictures! Definitely recommend!!!

The views were stunning. A bit of a headache that due to the weather, they were closing the gates at 6pm so we had to adjust travel plans to get there in time.
