"Would not stay at this hotel again, even though the rooftop terrace was lovely and the staff were very good. The room itself is simply too loud, not designed well for travelers, and there was no way to adjust the temperature in the room. We travel frequently and like staying in the downtown area, But also appreciate a very functional room travel. This room simply was not workable for luggage or any kind of hanging of bags or towel towels, there was no rack for towels at all in the bathroom. The most frustrating thing about the room was the amount of noise that was unrelenting until well into the night and started it again in the early morning. Earplugs are a must. Next time in Glencoe, we will stay someplace else."
"This is one of the best hotels in Cuenca. They put a hot water bottle in your bed. It’s amazing, and there really isn’t service like this in most hotels. Also, the garden is really nice. I will definitely be back."
"We stayed in the Presidential Suite, and it was amazing!! The suit was as good as it gets, the hotel itself was gorgeous, terrific service, wonderful restaurant, and PERFECT location. "
"The building is a beautiful and charming example of colonial Spanish architecture, complete with two enclosed "courtyards". The complimentary breakfast included eggs with choice of veggies and preparation, yogurt with copious fresh fruit and granola, a selection of fresh breads, fresh squeezed fruit juice, and choice of delicious coffee or hot chocolate. The staff members were very friendly and helpful; most spoke English, all spoke Spanish. The location was within several minutes walking distance of the center of the Historic District (restaurants, cathedrals, museums, markets). Our room was small but we managed nicely with creative use of the closet, bedside tables, and bathroom storage.
