"The room and hotel was very clean, the staff were very friendly, it had attached a cafe/bar with a good range of food and drinks at a very reasonable. Easy on street parking directly outside the hotel. The hotel is dog friendly and our dog got a bag of treats on arrival. Would definitely recommend this hotel 😁🐕"

"This was the second occasion we visited this hotel prior to getting the ferry in Santander, which is a short 17 mins drive away. We found the hotel extremely well run by very friendly staff and, fortunately for us, all the reception staff spoke very good English. Our booking included a continental breakfast, an optional extra for an evening meal was an open buffet. This was very reasonably priced with a wide choice, and we would thoroughly recommend it. "Excellent place to stay. Very clean and very friendly staff. Excellent location to visit the “must see” medieval town of Santillana Del Mar in Cantabria. This northern part of Spain is very beautiful and this hotel is also very convenient to sight see towns around. The Altamira Caves and its replicas, another must see, are 2 - 3 minutes away. Loved the place."

"A terrific old school hotel with an amazing views and fantastic setting. Very understated and elegant. If not for couple of small quirks the stay would have been perfect. Chair on the room had wobly legs and was unsuitable for seating, the enclosed terrace had a chocolate wrapper on the floor for the entire 3-day stay and a nice upscale restaurant on premises somehow decided that serving butter in packets lime they do in buffets is ok."

"Room was not very large but packed in kitchenette and ensuite bathroom with small veranda with view over the nature reserve opposite. Staff were welcoming enthusiastic and very helpful they made the stay so good. The roof top bar was good to sit in the sun although the bar only serves in the summer. "

"Nice quiet place with lovely scenery and very comfortable rooms and large beds. The pool was a decent size, but the hot tub was not warm when we visited. Helpful staff as there are limiited dining options, so be prepared to drive somewhere to eat. Not easy to spot the entrance to the hotel. It is accessible via the double wooden door and an intercom as seen from google street view of the address. Would recommend for couples. "
