You could catch an event at Julio Martinez Pradanos National Stadium, a stadium in Ñuñoa. If you think Julio Martinez Pradanos National Stadium is cool, you also might like Movistar Arena and Estadio Monumental David Arellano, both located nearby.

It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. The Hostal Rio Amazonas is very centrally-located and walking distance to the Barrio Bellavista (neighborhood) with many restaurants and activities as well as to Metro Lines 1 and 5 (Baquedano station) which connect to most of Santiago.
The staff is hospitable, friendly and professional, yet laid-back. I was able to have several conversations (in English) with them. They offer a wonderful, homemade table-service continental breakfast with fresh squeezed pear/kiwi juice.

Hyatt Santiago Vitacura is a great hotel- the room was very spacious and had amazing views of Los Andes. The staff was very friendly and responded to many of our questions providing recommendations about the area and clarifying any questions we had.The hotel is in a great area (safe and modern). We used Uber for transportation and worked well

Hotel Bonaparte is my home away from home. The front desk reception personnel are so friendly, professional and courteous. Same goes to the personnel in restaurant, bar and housekeeping.
Hotel is clean, comfortable and food is amazing. Beautiful neighborhood and walk into Providencia shopping. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Excellent hotel in lastarria, close to all the museums and university area. Spacious room, very clean. Outstanding and attentive staff, especially Esmerelda who was so kind to our group. Highly recommend this small hotel!

Seems like there are really two different hotels here. One (61?) is more basic and the other (43?) is much nicer. The one we stayed in was really nice. Perfect for our family who likes space (two separate bedrooms plus a small living area and kitchen). The neighborhood was very cool and safe. Close to the subway and only a few blocks from a grocery store.
The people working there was polite, helpful, and spoke some english.
