"Check in was fast and professional. Parking under ground was explained well. The room was immaculate and cleaned over my expectations. All appliances were new and in exceptional condition. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet. I stayed on the 7th floor and the lifts were very fast. 2 mins walk to the major shopping centre for all your needs. 5 min walk to the beach. No complaints at all, highly recommended. I will stay again for sure."

"Very very disappointed. We had booked one of the more expensive top floor rooms for our wedding anniversary. We live locally but thought we would make a night of it, check out the hotel, have drinks and a meal on the rooftop etc. I had paid the extra for a late cancellation. My husband is in remission from stage 4 lung cancer (not to be fair they knew that) and very unexpectedly the afternoon we were meant to check in he felt unwell and ended up overnight on ICU. I called the hotel to let them know we weren’t coming and to see if we could get a refund or a change of date or something to help. I was directed to hotels.com because that was who we booked through and they advised the hotel was not prepared to do anything. I was able to provide a medical certificate if needed. It’s a new hotel, it was a wet Tuesday in a no -holiday period - I don’t think they would have been booked out. Any sort of help - say us paying half next time - would have been nice. I appreciate we fell outside of the rules but a little leeway would have been appreciated. We won’t be bothering to book again - there are plenty of places at the coast we can choose instead."

"Room 790 - 2 bedroom oceanview upper floors Staff were wonderful, complimentary beach equipment available (this was an awesome inclusion), beds comfy, plenty of room to move around, cosy, big tv with foxtel, wrap around balcony with the best view of sunrise and the beach/ocean. Pool, sauna, spa, gym...undercover parking, this place has everything. Water pressure awesome, nice hot shower...only place I've had a shower while watching the world go by on the beach front. Showing a bit of wear and tear, but place is nearly 30 years old. Fantastic location, walk everywhere...so many food and shopping options on the strip. Loved our stay"

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort

"We booked 3 rooms over a year ago & requested to be near each other. On arrival rooms had not been allocated & we could not be near each other. The bathroom in renovated room smelt of sewer. Buildings are very tired, needs an upgrade. Suite very dated. Not a kitchen, just a microwave. Rooms not worth asking price. Could definitely be more of an atmosphere. Staff are friendly. Food expensive."

"Close to beach, Roomy accomodation. Unit looking a bit tired. Some maintenance issues. Cleanliness hit and miss. Pool was out of action for repairs for most of stay. Staff friendly."

"The room was facing the ocean and the magnificent view was beyond words. However our room was in a state of advanced disrepair and lack of maintenance which included- a very large crack in the mirror behind the bed , a number of cracked bathroom tiles and a general need of some loving care. Certainly not good enough especially at such top rate prices!"

"The hotel is great however I was in room 8 on a Saturday night & the bar played music until 3am so I barely got any sleep! I would check with them which rooms are sound proofed if you need a good nights sleep"
