The free ferry (& the nominally priced ferries) are always a winner. Fort Wadsworth is a must see. The view of NY harbor is spectacular. Deninos pizza was delish. Definitely worth an extended weekend. Didn't bump into Pete Davidson though.

Staten Island gets a bad rap on TV shows (for examples where police officers get assigned to put their careers on hiatus), but it is filled with many middle class and above neighborhoods and a lot of cultural character. I is underrated.

I am a Native New Yorker and Staten Island is one of the nicer boroughs of the city.
"Great check in experience. Location is amazing.
Rooms were tired. Bathroom sink clogged. Toilet pipe pulling away from wall . Had to request new hairdryer as the one in the room only blew cold air. "
"Really enjoyed our stay here. Great location and hotel was very comfortable. Included breakfast a welcome bonus for a New York hotel. Definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again."
