"Room was booked 24hrs prior to visit. Room was great. Staff were very friendly. Locals equally welcoming. Lovely bar area with ample seating. Didnt get to enjoy breakfast due to needing to rush over to Lime Street to spend the rest of the day travelling home. However what was seen coming from the kitchen looked delicious!! "

"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. "Well priced functional place to stay which felt safe and the bed was comfortable. Really kind lass on the reception Chris was very helpful and pleasant after a long haul to the hotel. Pleasant setting though it was dark when I arrived so didn't really get chance to visit. If you just need a reasonable place to hop when you are in the area it's ideal. I was heading to Warrington and it was really easy from there, likewise Haydock, Liverpool, St Helens etc."

"This is a cool, slightly funky/charming British hotel. Lovely decor, not a cookie-cutter hotel. The staff are absolutely excellent. Exterior doors are a bit funny, with various little signs taped up about how to get in and out, and the layout of my room was unique - clearly a re-purposed space.
