We fell off the plane into the hotel jet lagged but the welcome and care and unexpected breakfast was like nothing I have ever experienced in a hotel. Thanks Luca, Buhle and Kash. "Had a lovely few days at Rosedene! Staff were all so kind and helful! Lungi was so very helpful in organizing our pickup and transportation from the airport, and also booking tours for us while in Cape Town. Arthur was there to greet us on our arrival, and each evening when we returned. Chef Ian and his staff in the kitchen had a wonderful breakfast for us each morning. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Beautiful hotel but we had a number of issues. We booked a poolside room and was told upon arrival that the room has large ceiling windows with no blinds. Whilst this provides lots of light during the day and views of Table Mountain, we were woken up by the sunrise at 5am. Eye masks are offered as a solution. "Hello, we stayed in room 3 at Ashanti guest house 1. Room was clean and comfy. Staff were super helpful. Some things we had issues with. The wifi was spotty. The room lights were difficult to turn off as the light switch seemed broken or malfunctioning. S Bathroom door was very loud and not enough privacy. "Well-kitted rooms - they thought of everything! Housekeeping after that was poor. Staff were very friendly though and breakfast was a hit! Service was at times very frustrating as things had to be repeated for any action to take place. Management or supervisory intervention was absent. Great place physically but the friendly staff need to deliver as well."

"We were very happy with our stay at the Commodore and would recommend it highly. Before our stay, I was concerned about location, but it’s a very easy walk and safe walk to the V&A waterfront. The breakfast was excellent. The actual dining room while we were there was closed for a few days as they did some work on it, but the outdoor dining area was opened as was the bar area so I think they handled that situation very well. We ate dinner there one night and the food was excellent, but the service could have been better. We had a suite on the sixth floor and it was wonderful with a lovely view. "
