"I would definitely use Residhome's Rosa Parks in Paris, France again. It is everything you want when you travel. The staff was polite and efficient. The room was clean comfortable and affordable. Shopping for food was easy. It is on the east side of Montmartre. It is where the working class lives. Going west on the other side of Montmartre is the gleaming city of lights. Everything you want to see is a 15 to 20 minute cab ride, which I also recommend, because you can see how the city is...

"Fabulous! My room was ready early, the staff are friendly and the location has the feel of a village. There is a metro stop across the road, and you can easily walk to both the Gare du Nord (fantastic for the Eurostar to London) and the Gare de l'Est. The main street has all the traditional shops as well as a little supermarket (a baker, a cheese shop, a butcher, a cafe/bistro). You are also very close to Canal St Martin which is a lovely walk."

Bedroom was really big for Paris (we had a deluxe) with fantastic aircon and really tasteful design. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! "Fairly priced hotel a short walk from Gard du Nord (not the best area but handy for connections to airport and elsewhere in Paris). Surprisingly larger rooms, or rather - not as small as you would generally get in Paris in this area at this rate. Pleasant staff. I'd stay there again."

"I had an excellent stay at Hotel OKKO. Everything went perfectly well from start to finish. The location was perfect for my needs, and what impressed me the most was how amazingly quiet the hotel was, even though it is right next to Gare de l’Est. I have rarely stayed in such a calm hotel in Paris — the soundproofing is outstanding. The business corner is also a great feature and very well done. Overall, this hotel was a wonderful discovery, and I highly recommend it."

"Great base for exploring Belleville area and wider Paris. Good metro links. We had ground floor family/disabled access room, with King bed and big sofa bed, and large wet room. Lots of space and even a little courtyard to ourselves just outside the room. Did not have many dealings with the hotel staff, but the ones we did have were fine. No facilities in the room for making hot drinks, but other than that the hotel was great."

"Hotel Flanelles is a boutique hotel, perfectly located directly opposite the Gare du Nord giving instant access to the Eurostar and metro system. It is exquisitely decorated and meticulously clean and the staff are incredibly friendly. "

Well worth going for the room with balcony - lovely views across the city towards the Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tour and Pantheon as well as the bustle of the street marker below. Only issue I have is the litter strewn area immediately outside the entrance, probably an issue more for the local council but would be worth a quick...
