The hotel is located a bit far from the historic district (not walkable) but cabs are plentiful and the cost is 4-10 Euros (depending on traffic). We loved our three night stay at Memoria Porto. The staff treated us like royalty and our room overlooked the Douro River. One tip, we can offer is to take the # 500 bus to the coast and pay a lot less for authentic Portugese food, wine, and beer. We will definitely be back. The morning breakfast was filling and delightful.
