We really enjoyed the food , drink , service and atmosphere in No 37 Cafe in Sheep Street. The waterfront is buzzing especially in the Summer with entertainment of all sorts. River boat trips are lovely too. Stratford Upon Avon is beautiful.

I thought the town would be smaller and completely historic, but it was a mix of the regular city and the history sprinkled throughout. Shakespeare's areas were farther than anticipated, so we took the hop on and off bus tour instead.

We loved the town -- we even saw the annual Tractor Parade through town. Lots of dining options as well as a wonderful local market downtown. Add to that the historical places like Shakespeare's and Anne Hathaway's homes!

Apart from all Shakespeare attractions, the river walks and dining options in the town are excellent. Boat trips and on board dining a lovely way to explore the area.The Swan theatre offers free costume exhibitions.

Don't miss Shakespeare's grave in Holy Trinity Church, or the historic Guild Chapel by Shakespeare's house. We loved walking along the river and the Sunday market.
