Loved our stay in Dunbar, we did the detective trail around the town with our daughter. I'd recommend it as a great way to see Dunbar as it takes you places you probably wouldn't go to on your own.

Dunbar sits on a lovely coastline. The small town has a few good pubs and places to eat. You can always jump on the train for 25 mins to Edinburgh if that's your thing.

Dunbar has a historic/charming city centre not far from the hotel. Loved the sea views once in town/surrounding areas.
"Host friendly when we arrived. No parking - only had 3 cars on front. Could park our car for free across the road. Believe was a school car park. We entered the building from a side door to the new part of the building. On entrance was tea/coffee making facilities for all of the room (think 6 rooms?)Room new, modern and well decorated including bathroom. Room (20) not huge but adequate for 2 nights. Was at the front of the building so had to shut the window in the early hours because of traffic noise. Bus stop very close and easy to get into Edinburgh. I would book again.

"The Pine Marten is very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel building is separate from the pub so no noise. The bedroom was clean with all facilities. The bed was (unlike in some hotels) very comfortable. Had continental breakfast each day at £6 odd. It was adequate but no yoghurt mixed with berries like at Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Also the music being played was dire

"Such welcoming staff who were so helpful in the morning. Breakfast was wonderful, really tasty and lots of variety. The full Scottish breakfast was a firm favourite! The room was super clean and quiet. A lovely stay if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, which a quaint village feel. This has a family feel to it! Thank you, my 7 year old son would love to stay again. "
