And while the hotel does not have central air conditioning, the in-room units are powerful, which is an absolute necessity (for me, at least) in the very hot, very humid rain forest of the Peten. The hotel, consisting of separate cabanas, is conveniently located on a main road near Flores, Guatemala. We arrived in a high-roof van with a roof rack and were able to access the property without any issues. We greatly enjoyed the grilled dinner for 4. The pool was very comfortable. The docks that are pictured in the photos are submerged underwater and have been for some time as they are very slippery and covered in algae but the property is still very usable and extremely beautiful. The staff was so kind and attentive and they let us stay on the property 5 hours past our checkout time until our flights were leaving! The food from the restaurant and the drinks from the bar were absolutely delightful. We loved our stay here and would absolutely go back again.
